DESCRIPTION:LIVINGWORKS ASIST\nApplied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) \nRecognized as the global leader in suicide intervention training\, LivingWorks ASIST is a 2-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid. \nPresented in ASL by: \nTarra Grammenos\, M.S.\, SC:L\, NIC Adv.\nSibling Suicide Loss Survivor & \nASIST Provisional Trainer\nLaura SkyQuest\, M.A.\, CDI Certified Deaf Interpreter & ASIST Provisional Trainer \nOffered two weekends; pick one \nSaturday\, September 27th – 28th 2025\n9am to 5pm \nSunday\, October 4th – 5th 2025\n9am to 5pm \nLivingWorks ASIST is a two-day in-person workshop featuring powerful audiovisuals\, discussions\, and simulations. During this training\, you’ll learn how to recognize when someone may be thinking about suicide\, how to provide a skilled intervention\, and how to develop a safety plan with the person to connect them to further support. You will also consider how personal and community attitudes about suicide affect someone’s openness to seek help and your ability to provide it. ASIST is utilized and recommended by crisis lines across the world to develop skills and confidence in effectively supporting people thinking of suicide.
